NEW YEAR’S EVE RESOLUTIONS

It’s New Year’s Eve and we need to figure some stuff out! There’s a lot of resolutions needed to be made and guess what, people aren’t going to meet those resolutions thoroughly. They’re going to post statuses on social media about how they plan on doing this and that then when the week ends they will not have yet tackled anything.

HERE’S WHAT YOU SHOULD CONSIDER FOR NEW YEAR’S EVER

Don’t set unrealistic goals for yourself, because then you won’t be inspired enough to make something different happen. When you set goals to look forward to then you’ll definitely make sure that you take the steps to achieve those goals.

If you’re a little less fortunate and you don’t have much, perhaps the goals you need to set are something realistic, simple, and basic:

  • GET NEW APARTMENT
  • GET NEW/USED VEHICLE
  • GET ABOUT $3,000 SAVED IN MY ACCOUNT
  • SPEND MORE TIME WITH MY KIDS
  • GO BACK TO SCHOOL FOR DEGREE
  • FIND MY CALLING/PURPOSE IN LIFE
  • START A SMALL BUSINESS
  • ETC

THE MORE REALISTIC THE BETTER FOR YOU

Think of this like playing a Nintendo game; there are levels set for you in order to get the prize in the end. Start out strong and consistent, because consistency is key to making sure that all goals are executed.

When you have completed and achieved those goals successfully, you then should set new goals for the climbing ahead, because there’s nothing to settle for. To just stop at nothing is a big mistake. There’s more to life, after you’ve gotten the keys to your new place and have started that small business.

You have to reach further and be good to yourself about life and what it has to offer you. Press forward and then work on making your dreams come true. How can you be real for yourself? Real enough to not give up and real enough to find that push when you need it.

RESOLVE TO BE YOUR BEST WITHOUT RELAPSING

I know everyone wants to be packed and ready to move into the New Year with their goals, but the ultimate goal for being your best should your number #1 goal. Don’t relapse and go into that old behavior again that caused you to not have anything in the first place.

You can do your best without choosing the bad over the good. What will you benefit from when you do the right things, and stick with your goals? You’ll benefit everything and you won’t regret it.
